A little about me....

Since, at this time, we are unable to adopt I want to help others to reach their dream. Please help me in doing so.

I should be running...that is the only way I can loose the weight. I started participating in runs way back in 1998 when I was told that I was not motivated enough to do it...ya, that is what I was told. I completed my first run (and walk) and first marathon all in one shot (the Bataan Death March Marathon at White Sands, NM). I continued to do it while I lived in Texas also. I also fit in a few 5, 10, and 20 Ks in there for good measure. Since moving to Kentucky I have continued to run, although I have not had a chance to do a marathon again, my goal is to do one in the near future.

I am a competitor deep down and always try to get a better time then the last. Now I can not only get fit...I can also help others.

Runs for 2009

4 July
Buffalo Chase; Frankfurt, KY

Runs for 2008

13 Dec 08
Reindeer Ramble 5K; Lexington, KY
35:45 (come to find out it was not a full 5K due to inaccurate marking of course)

27 Nov 08
Thoroughbred Classic 5K; Lexington, KY
Finish with 38:14

22 Nov 08
Turkey Trot 5K; Nicholasville, KY
Well I finish in 39:18...then had to go them Michael because Ruth wanted to get out and run (well walk) the last K. She loves to get out and do what mommy and daddy are doing. I am so proud of her. She wanted to stop the last 10 yards but she did finish and she was very proud of herself (and so was mommy and daddy).

27 Nov 08
Race for the Cure 5K; Lexington, KY
This was not an official race like years past for some reason. My oldest (Ruth) wanted to run also (something she has never asked to do) so, my time was 51 mins. But she had the biggest smile on her face because she was able to get out and run with mommy.
