01.29.09 Keep Your New Year's Resolutions and Help Orphans

Have you heard about Running Hope? This new partner of Shaohannah’s Hope (SH) was founded by Tony and Marilyn Amburgy, whose hearts were captured by the plight of orphans and the work SH does to unite orphans with forever families. Their dream was to help SH raise more funds that would allow us to place more orphans with families.
Tony’s vision began to take shape over the course of 2007 while participating in 4 marathons and celebrating his 50th birthday. As a new marathon runner, Tony realized that many runners raise support for charities through marathons and other running / walking events. He began exploring the possibility of a ministry that would direct these funds to orphans.
In 2008, the dream of Running Hope became a reality. Over this last year, the Running Hope team has been working hard to organize and leverage the passion, energy and fundraising ability of the running and walking community to make a difference in the lives of orphans…and they are now ready to ask YOU to join them!
Visit their website at www.runninghope.org and consider joining Running Hope! Whether you are a casual walker or an avid marathoner, they have the advice and tools in place to support your efforts and accomplish your goals. But it doesn’t stop there. By creating your own personal fundraising webpage, your friends and family can see your story, your goals and support your efforts through donations.
Once you register as a Running Hope team member and pay a one-time registration fee, you will receive a Running Hope Starter Kit consisting of a Running Hope Performance Shirt, a visor or cap, Running Hope shoelaces, a gear tote bag and more.
When you join Running Hope you will become a part of a solution to the orphan crisis. Get in shape and change the world for an orphan and their forever family; it’s a win-win-win! Running Hope has made great strides in 2008 but they are now in a position, with their team in place and programs up and running, to see a true explosion in 2009. However they cannot do it without you. Join Running Hope today and help us bring children home to their forever families.
Blessings,
Running Hope & Shaohannah’s Hope
