07.28.07 Christians Fight Abortion by Turning to Adoption

On local, state and national levels, Christian groups and churches are pushing to see more and more open their hearts and homes to waiting foster children. From a national coalition to individuals in churches, lives are being changed as more children are finding love through adoption.
"In the days before Texas had nearly 19,000 abused, abandoned and neglected children on its foster care rolls, the church often helped take care of orphans. Now, some conservative Christians say an intense focus on hot-button issues like abortion and gay marriage has come at the expense of caring for needy children. And they're doing something about it."
